The Williamstown retail development is to be built in between Wellington and Douglas Parades in Williamstown. Wellington Parade, which has recently been reconstructed, is a historically significant street in the area, as is Douglas Parade which is also the core of the retail precinct in this part of the Hobson Bay area. The mall which will act as a thoroughfare between the two streets will give access to Coles and other specialty stores. Six of the seven tenancies, and the Coles store, will be accessible from the mall. Two tenancies will be accessible from Douglas Parade and another two from Wellington Parade. The narrow entries and tenancies can be likened to the lane ways and lots of the Williamstown area. The development is in a way architectural interpretation of the urban character of the surrounding area.
