The Church Road house was designed in somewhat of an Australian vernacular style. The galvanized steel clad walls and roof are synonymous with rural houses. Galvanized steel is low maintenance, reducing the long term cost of the building.

The roof overhang reduces the building heat gains in the summers and provides cover for the deck. The outdoor entertainment area, in addition to the floor to ceiling windows in the living areas of the house, provides magnificent views of Port Phillip Bay.  The, structural steel and timber framing sits on timber stumps which minimizes the building footprint.

This project is reflective of the emphasis on the construction of a cost effective and low maintenance product through out the construction and design process.
